CoverScore
The commitment

We are not an insurance company. We never share your data with anyone who could use it against you.

Those two sentences are the product. Everything else on this site is downstream of them.

Why we exist

Reversing who gets to see the math

For a century, the most sophisticated understanding of your personal risk has sat on the other side of the table. Insurers employ actuaries. Actuaries model your house, your health, your data exposure, your mortality — and they are very good at it.

You get a premium. A single number, no working shown, and no route to ask which part of it is your roof and which part is your ZIP code. The asymmetry is not an accident — it is the business model.

CoverScore points the same class of analysis in the opposite direction. Same public hazard data, same published clinical guidelines, same breach corpora — assembled for the person the risk actually belongs to, with the working shown and the uncertainty stated out loud.

If someone is going to model your life, it should be you first.

How it has worked · they model you
  • Actuaries score your house, your health and your mortality in detail.
  • You receive one premium figure with no working shown.
  • You cannot tell which part is your roof and which part is your ZIP code.
  • The information advantage is the product they are selling.
What we are doing · you model you
  • The same public data, assembled for you instead of about you.
  • Every input itemised and attributed in a provenance ledger.
  • Uncertainty shown as a band rather than hidden behind a decimal.
  • The gap named in plain language, with a free fix ranked first when one exists.
Guardrails

Five rules we hold ourselves to

Published so you can hold us to them too. Each one costs us money, which is the only reason a commitment like this means anything.

01

Never a homemade number

If we cannot source a score from published data or a published rubric, we do not show one. Products is a directory today for exactly this reason — the hazard rubric is not authored, so inventing a number would be dishonest.

What it costs us · Two of five editions cannot show a headline score, which makes the homepage harder to sell.

02

Confidence is shown, not buried

Every score carries a band, and the band is wide when we do not know much. A precise-looking number would convert better. It would also be a lie.

What it costs us · A wide band on someone's first visit is a worse first impression than a confident, narrower one that isn't real.

03

A free option always ranks

Every recommendation surface carries at least one free path, ranked on merit. Where the honest answer is "do it yourself on a Saturday," that sits above the paid job.

What it costs us · We routinely rank the option that earns us nothing above the one that pays.

04

Sensitive editions are walled

Health and Data & Privacy never share data with commercial partners. Not with carriers, not with advisors by default, not under any commercial arrangement. This is enforced in the database, not in a policy document.

What it costs us · The two editions with the richest data are the two we have permanently taken off the table.

05

You own the profile

Export everything any time. Delete in one tap and the scores go with it. Revoking an advisor's access does not delete your own copy.

What it costs us · Retention metrics we could otherwise protect with friction.

Your data

Who can see what, stated plainly

Not a policy summary — the actual matrix. Health and Data & Privacy are walled at the database level, not by a rule someone could later choose to relax.

Right 01

Export everything

Every score, every input, every provenance row, in a machine-readable file. No request form, no waiting period.

Right 02

Delete in one tap

The profile and every score computed from it. We keep nothing but the fact that an account once existed, for fraud prevention.

Right 03

Revoke any access

Advisors, household members, partner handoffs. Revoking is immediate and never removes your own copy.

The same discipline applies to what we don't know yet. 15 documented gaps are published, not papered over — 14 still open today.

We are not an insurance company

We do not underwrite, issue, or administer policies. We do not decide your premium and we cannot change it. We are not a broker and we do not hold a producer licence.

This is not financial or legal advice

Scores are informational. The Protection Gap Score is a diagnostic, not a recommendation to buy a specific product from a specific company.

The Health edition is not medical advice

It measures whether your risks are known, screened and protected against published guidelines. It does not diagnose anything and it is not a substitute for your clinician.

We do not sell your data. Ever.

Not to insurers, not to brokers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. Introductions happen only when you choose them, one at a time, with the terms shown first.
