Terms of Service

This is a working draft. It has not been reviewed or approved by counsel and should not be relied on as CoverScore's final, binding terms. It will be replaced before launch.

1. What CoverScore is

CoverScore is an informational risk-scoring tool. A score is a relative ranking of preparedness among households like yours — never a probability, and never a guarantee of any outcome.

2. What it is not

CoverScore is not an insurance company. We do not underwrite, issue, or administer insurance policies, and we are not a licensed insurance producer. Nothing on this site is financial, legal, or medical advice. The Health edition does not diagnose anything and is not a substitute for your clinician.

3. Free and paid tiers

Every score, every edition, and every recommendation is available in the free tier. Paid tiers, when they exist, change refresh cadence only — see pricing.

4. Referrals and affiliates

Some directory entries are affiliate links; we may earn a commission if you purchase through them. Affiliate entries are labelled, ranked on evidence, and never placed above a free alternative that works just as well. No affiliate relationship affects any score.

5. Your data

See our privacy policy (also a draft) for how we handle your data, and our commitment for the guardrails behind it.

6. Changes

We'll post material changes to these terms here before they take effect.
